Inside Brussels painter Karen Vermeren’s studio

Part three in our studio visit series, we pop into Brussels-based painter Karen Vermeren‘s space.  Fascinated by the beauty of natural landscapes, their physical structure and the processes that shape them, her paintings – which range in size from the small to the oversized – are given additional depth by her unique technique of using tape. Vermeren’s work is vibrant, colourful and utterly captivating, abstractly depicting the world’s natural wonders from Iceland’s Gullfoss waterfall to French Pech Merle, where one of the first paintings in history was found.
