The people, places and projects of Kasper de Vos

Kasper de Vos (1988) is a graduate of Sint Lucas, KASK and currently a postgraduate student at HISK in Ghent. His sculptural work, collages, drawings and paintings conjure landscapes, industry, food, or western art history. It is laden with comical critiques of consumer society with a play on the absurd – take his imitation life size snack bar for instance – revealing tensions between an imagined reality and the more immediate day to day. We gave Kasper a throw away camera to gather insight into these quotidian inspirations.
