Belgian painter Tom Liekens lives and works in Antwerp. He is fascinated by nature’s artificial form, the way it is presented in zoos or museums and how it’s been depicted throughout history in films and the arts. His large-scale paintings are full of giant flowers, prehistoric animals, fossils or skeletons juxtaposed with elements of daily life. We pay a visit to the artist’s studio in Antwerp.
