This year’s edition of the legendary Dour festival will remain indelibly etched in our memories, not just for its four days of excellent gigs (with highlights from Bon Iver and Kurt Vile to The Flaming Lips) but also for its ankle-deep mud and rain-soaked guests. It was a messy affair, but a very enjoyable one, and the mud (which some people even brought home with them. As a souvenir. In jars.) gave the festival an almost Woodstock feel. Joke De Wilde was in the field – knee deep – for us and captured the festivalgoers’ dirty but happy faces on film. Stay tuned for more Dour tidings with interviews from Little Dragon, Stuck in the Sound, Puppetmastaz, Poliça and Belgian newcomer Pomrad. Coming up.
