Kraak-affiliated, Landen-based recording artist Ignatz debuted his monthly slot on The Word Radio with a heady mix of free jazz, rare grooves, folk and psychedelic rock. The perfect soundtrack to rainy Tuesday mornings.

The Brussels-based label, headed by DJ B.Minacelli, opened proceedings in fine form with a killer two-hour set of varying influences, all dancefloor-certified.  Think DJ Normal 4, Giraffi Dog, Objekt, Yoshinori Hayashi and Hamza. Yes, Hamza. To quote Ruf Dug: All hitters, no shitters.

Vincent Bijs (BRZZVLL) – 15/12/2017

The frontman of Belgian free jazz outfit BRZZVLL came through The Word Radio for a two-hour guest show ahead of their concert at L’Ancienne Belgique the next day. A bewildering mix with killer cuts from start to finish – jazz, funk, Italo, disco and all.
