1.Thursday 25th August: Favourite Belgian releases with DJ Athome @ The Hope, Brussels

The third edition of our Favourite Belgian Releases listening sessions takes place at The Hope in Brussels tomorrow with DJ Athome revealing his selection of iconic Belgian cuts. Followed by a Front de Cadeaux DJ set, expect local love, dirty disco beats and lots of sweat. First 10 readers to come receive a pair of tickets to Aglaia Konrad‘s solo show ‘From A to K’ at Leuven’s M Museum. Fun starts at 20h00.

2. Friday 26th August: Soirée Mouton @ JH t’Mutske, Brussels

Rap concerts – Flowic, Jay Mng & Vin Ci and quintessential Brussels rap posse Stikstof – barbecue and late night DJ sets by 54 kolaktiv’s Baptist and Stikstof’s own DJ Vega at Laeken’s youth centre t’ Mutske. Full support.

3. Friday 26th August: Impulse @ Pulsar, Antwerp

Senegalese artist Modou Dieng – who works with photography, painting and installations – presents work created during a month-long residency at Antwerp’s Pulsar, together with Belgian sculptor Vincent Vandaele.

4. Friday 26th August: Tangram records invites @ Bar Bricolage, Ghent

Leuven-based record imprint Tangram heads to Ghent for a – completely free – evening with Belgian beats by LGTL, Up High Collective, Title, FRIS, Shungu, Solo700, Pippin and Bcote.

5. Saturday 27th August: Circle, Felix Kubin & Coolhaven @ Bar Eliza, Brussels

Music and spectacle come together at Les Ateliers Claus’ tenth anniversary shindig this Saturday. Hosted at Koekelberg’s summer bar Eliza, the celebration includes perfomances by Dutch group Coolhaven, followed by Finnish avant-garde krautrock band Circle and an eclectic performance by German Felix Kubin and Mark Boombastik.

6. Saturday 27th August: Holger boat party @ Boothuis Brauhaus, Brussels

8. Saturday 27th August: Thorsten Brinkmann @ Be-Part, Waregem

German artist Thorsten Brinkmann is presenting his solo show ‘The Great Cape Rinderhorn’ at Waregem’s contemporary art centre Be-Part. Through objects, sculptures and photographs, he create his own universe, in which spectators are free to roam.

9. Saturday 27th August: Belly of the Fish: Liesbeth Doms @ The Stable, Waregem
