1. Thursday 21st July – Saturday 23rd July: Face: perron 6 and Retina @ Rue de la Régence, Brussels

A three-day exhibition that merges traditional visual arts and digital arts organised by Brussels creative collective Perron Zes, with daily concerts alongside that go from funky house to grime, hiphop and garage, that are curated by musical collectives Underwater, Sereia and Slagwerk.

2. Thursday 21st July:Vitrine Patrizio Di Massimo + Talk Lili Dujouri and Anders Kreuger @ NICC, Brussels

NICC’s summer exhibition shows work by London-based artist Patrizio Di Massimo, a figurative painter inspired by classical iconography as well as by more contemporary motives. An installation made in collaboration with fashion designer Benedetta Bruzziches that feels more like a commercial display will be adapted to the context of a shop window at the Brussels art space. During the inaugural evening this Thursday, Belgian visual artist Lili Dujourie will engage in a conversation with M HKA’s curator Anders Kreuger. Runs until 25th August.

3. Thursday 21st July: Parels voor de zwijnen @ Bonnefooi, Brussels

Ghent’s Nosedrip and Holger’s Captain Starlight set fire to Bonnefooi’s dance floor with a wavy, ambient and above all eclectic DJ set, proving that Thursday is the new Saturday.

4. Friday 22nd July: Boatclub invites Under My Garage @ Boatclub, Brussels

A three hour DJ set with Low Jack’s experimental and eclectic tunes on a boat, with support by Under My Garage’s crew Arthur Tixhon and Pallando.

5. Friday 22nd July: Oogst #6 @ Bar Gloed, Antwerp

Independent art and literature magazine Oogst launches its sixth edition with a festive evening in Antwerp’s Bar Gloed. Photographer Sine van Menxel and Mittland och Leo’s Joke Leonare will be playing a selection of distinctive tunes for the occasion, followed by an two-hour long eclectic DJ set by Stoute Meneer, aka Dennis Tyfus.

6. Friday 22nd July – Sunday 24th July: Borgerwood @ Spoor Oost, Antwerp

A brand new neighbourhood festival in Antwerp’s suburb Borgerhout, filling the weekend with the freshest electronic, experimental and indie music. The ambitious line-up combines visionary local talent the likes of STUFF., Le Collisée and Lawrence Le Doux with remarkable international acts such as Mehmet Aslan (DE) and Daniel Wang (US).

8. Friday 22nd July: Consouling Sounds labelnight @ Kinky Star, Ghent

A label night by Ghent’s post, doom and ambient record imprint Consouling Sounds, in the intimate setting of bar Kinky Star, with unstoppable riffs by 30,000 monkies, dark hardcore sludge by Eleanora and Alkerdeel’s blurry black metal.

10. Sunday 24th July: The Rocky Horror Picture Show @ Cinébaudelo, Ghent

A screening of the cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show for the closing evening of this year’s Gentse Feesten, in what must be the city’s most beautiful cinema venue, straight in the festival’s epicentre, the Baudelo Park.
