Colour me Belgium: A visual reportage of Belgian diasporas

Be it because of its colonial past, its economic ambitions or its historic skill set, Belgium boasts a number of well entrenched diaspora communities that, each in their own right, have contributed to bringing a dash of exoticism and excitement to our sometimes drab streets. And, as expected, most of the immigrant fun can be had in the country’s two largest cities, Brussels and Antwerp, that both play home to considerable immigrant populations that bring with them food, traditions and languages. We tasked recent photographic recruit Max Meyer with scanning the country’s streets in search for the most obvious sign of import-export love.
