1. Thursday 12th: Muller Van Severen for Valerie_objects @ Graanmarkt 13, Antwerp

Belgian design duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen join forces with Antwerp-based design imprint Valerie_objects, the result of which they’ll be showing at the city’s temple of all things cool, Graanmarkt 13.

2. Thursday 12th: Hantrax @ Gouvernement, Ghent

Antwerp-based producer Hantrax takes to the stage for a solo piano performance, a presentation of his recent release “Ticker Tape Parade”, and a closing DJ-set.

3. Friday 13th: Girls like us family weekend @ St Médard, Brussels

At St Médard, the playfully radical magazine Girls Like Us launches its latest issue on Friday 13th May, welcoming artists ILLSYLL, The Girls Formerly Known As and dj Bitch. Festivities keep going the entire weekend, ending on Sunday 15th May with a screening of Lars Laumann’s film ‘Season of Migration to The North’.

4. Saturday 14th: Nosejob @ L’épicerie moderne, Brussels

Nosejob, the brainchild of unofficial nightlife impresario Rick Shiver, brings Romanian DJ-producer Borusiade for its latest edition, supported by local heroes DJ ATHOME (of Front de Cadeaux-fame) and Mr. Shiver himself.

5. Saturday 14th:Art-Fort/Fort-Art 2016 @ Fort5, Edegem (Antwerp)

The enfant terrible of Belgium’s avant-garde, Jan De Cock, installs his latest work ‘Everything for you, Antwerp’ made in collaboration with the high school students of Sint-Lukas Brussels for this year’s edition of Art-Fort/Fort-Art exhibition. Show opens on Saturday and runs until 26 June.

6. Saturday 14th: Tolouse low trax live / Lowcommittee DJ set @ Les Brasseurs, Liège

Liège’s prolific live venue Les Brasseurs invite German producer Tolouse Low Trax with local Lowcommittee on support duties.

7. Saturday 14th: PARADIGM#1 @ The Lodge

New Brussels collective Paradigm throws its first party at Molenbeek’s The Lodge on Saturday 14th of May. Featuring Italian artist Plaster playing a live set as well as Spaniards Geistform, they’ll be accompanied by Belgian-based duo Orphan Swords, of whom you can also expect some new material.

8. Saturday 14th: Seyran Kirmizitoprak @ Komplot, Brussels

Brussels-based artist Seyran Kirmizitoprak is presenting her most recent solo-show, titled “Miauuuuwwww” this Saturday 14th May at Komplot in St-Gilles. Her installations never fail to evoke a theatrical eeriness, so be prepared for an afternoon in a surreal universe, walking a fine line between fiction and reality.

9. Sunday 15th: Nächtvøgels @ Klub Goud, Antwerp

Nächtvøgels’ daytime party on Sunday 15th May enlists the talents of Stockholm-based Matt Karmil, Holger’s Just Nathan, Calvache, Deejames and Maté to keep you on your feet for the entire day.

10. Monday 16th: Asphalt @ Graslei, Ghent

If you thought you were finally going to get some rest after the weekend, then think again. For the public holiday on Monday 16th May, Asphalt is putting on their latest party, which takes place outdoors, right in Ghent’s city centre at Graslei. On the bill: Jeroen Search, JP Enfant, and Ghent’s very own Menica, Blanca and Mayz. Plus the entire thing is free.
