Pez: Smiling since 1999

Staying ever faithful to street art allegiances, Tony’s Gallery in Shoreditch will be showcasing the work of Barcelona-born, Bogota-based vandal/artist Pez. Known for his brightly coloured, ever-smiley fish characters, Pez has progressed from basic one colour ‘throw ups’ to more complex murals and large scale designs that can now be found all over the world. The gallery’s featuring his ‘Colombian beach bar’ installation, reason enough alone to check it out.

The Body Adorned: Dressing London

Time to venture down to south-east London, Forest Hill to be precise, for the Horniman Museum’s major exhibition for 2012. ‘The Body Adorned’ explores how the migration of individuals, objects and ideas has influenced body adornment fashion in the capital. A very interesting subject to explore,  we’re positive you’ll agree.

Clark – Iradelphic album launch

Warp Records‘ signing Clark unleashes his new ‘Iradelphic’ LP with  a launch party-cum-concert at the Village Underground – a venue whose praises have already been sung on the Weekend Schedule’s pages. The massive main room will provide the perfect environment for his wistful electronica, while other acts on the line-up include the much-lauded Nathan Fake and Rival Consoles. Should be a great evening of music.

Superfreq E’Special

There’s literally an endless list of parties going on in London over Easter weekend, so you’ll have no trouble finding something to do, whatever you’re into. For lovers of house and techno, one highly recommended destination is Mr.C’s excellent Superfreq night with Ambivalent, LukevB and Raymundo Rodriguez, which will be happening on the 32nd floor of the Centrepoint Tower on Oxford Street right in the centre of town. Worth it for the view alone.
