We’re hiring: Looking for a new editorial assistant

As editorial assistant, you will work with the editorial team to ensure a smooth running of custom editorial projects and content. Your position as editorial assistant will involve overseeing the coordination, production and follow-up to a series of different custom editorial projects, liaising with clients and working within a specific brief to ensure their timely and optimal delivery. Your main responsibilities will essentially center around these key projects:

1. Assist the editorial director in all aspects linked to the studio’s custom editorial projects:

  • Conduct editorial research.
  • Contribute to editorial planning and briefs.
  • Create and coordinate different teams of contributors (writers, photographers, illustrators).
  • Produce editorial content specific to the project:
    • Interviews
    • Industry profiles
  • Online advertorials:
    • Edit copy submitted by contributors.
    • Prepare final copy for layout.

2. Assist the editorial and advertising director in all aspects linked to the studio’s print and online custom editorial activities:

  • Overseeing our schedule of online custom editorial content.
  • Coordinating with clients on matters relating to the production of online custom editorial content.
  • Producing all online custom editorial projects.

3. Assist the editorial director in certain aspects linked to The Word Magazine’s editorial activities:

  • Conduct editorial research.
  • Produce editorial content:
    • First-hand interviews
    • Q&As
    • Do The Right Thing


  • Ability to combine both editorial as well as project management responsibilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and to deadline.
  • Ability to be proactive and develop solutions.
  • Perfect written French and English skills.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) coordinating editorial projects.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) managing client accounts.
  • Good knowledge of local cultural landscape a plus.
  • Passion for and connection to local design a plus.


  • Salary: 2,300 euros HTVA invoiced / month
  • Starting date: Friday 1st December
  • Trial period: Three months from starting date
